Home Contact Pre-Application Support Biociden workshop BPR application and re-registration of disinfectants based on the active substances sodium and calcium hypochlorite and chlorine On 11 and 18 May (both days are fully booked), and June 20, 2017 the Ctgb will host a BPR application and re-registration of biocidal products based on the active substances sodium and calcium hypochlorite and chlorine. For the workshop of June 20 there are still a few places left. Sodium hypochlorite is authorised for use as active substances in biocides for the product types (PT) 1 up to and including 5. Calcium hypochlorite is authorised for use as active substances in biocides for PT 2 up to and includin g PT5 and Chlorine is authorised for use as active substances in biocides for PT 2 and PT 5. Following approval of the active substance in the European context, all biocide products based on this active substance must be re-registered in accordance with new BPR guidelines. The deadline for submission of this substance dossier is end of 2018. During the workshop, Ctgb experts will provide an update on BPR application types and procedures and guide you through the dossier requirements for product authorisation. All relevant aspects on physical chemistry, human toxicology, environmental risk assessment and efficacy will be discussed. The workshop is designed for biocide consultants and companies (includien SMEs) which produce or distribute biocidal products based on sodium and calcium hypochlorite and chlorine to the European market or want to enter the European market with (new) biocidal products. To benefit most from the workshop, basic nowledge on biocidal product regulations is recommended. the workshop will be held in English. For more details on the workshop schedule see the programme below. The workshop will begin at 9.00 h (registrations opens at 8.30 h). For each topic, there will be adequate time allotted for discussion. The afternoon will end with a networking reception. Participating companies often submit a request for meeting after the workshop, so that they can put any remaining questions they may have regarding a specific dossier to an expert. The Ctgb would like to provide workshop participants with the opportunity to discuss their questions in an individual session with an expert immediately after the workshop. The workshop will end at 15.30 at the latest, after which participants will have the opportunity to discuss the dossier with an expert in a separate room, in one of three time slots (15.30-16.00, 16.00-16.30 and/or 16.30-17.00) and charged at the expert’s (half) hourly rate. Please indicate on the registration form whether you wish to make use of this extra service and which aspect you would like to discuss. The fee for this workshop is € 625 per participant. If you would like to participate, please fill out the registration form and return it by April 7, 2017. Please note that attendence is limited to a maximum of 25 participants per workshop.
